Child Safety Update
As a parent or carer, you deserve to know that your child is safe and supported. That’s why St Lawence Catholic Primary School makes a clear public commitment to keeping children safe from harm or abuse. We want our whole community to know that child safety comes first — always.
Here’s what that means:
-
Child safety is part of our culture. Everyone involved in our organisation — from leaders and staff to volunteers and children — shares the same values and attitudes: children’s safety and wellbeing are always our top priority.
-
It’s part of everyday actions. We don’t just talk about child safety — we live it. Leaders and adults in our organisation act in ways that protect children and make them feel safe, every day.
-
Leaders lead by example. Children, families, and staff all look to our leaders. That’s why our leaders must model respectful, safe behaviour and never ignore or tolerate anything that could harm a child.
-
We have clear policies in place. Our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy explains exactly how we keep children safe. It sets out what’s expected from everyone — staff, volunteers, and families — so we all work together to create a safe and welcoming space for children.
